A Lead Engineer will have extensive experience of many, varying engineering implementations, and through this has become an expert in an at least one area of engineering; acting as a "go to" reference across the organisation. They may take functional (not resource management) oversight of engineering delivery for a department, continuously reviewing designs and quality and driving re-use. They will play a role in improving engineering capability in their area through recruitment and development activities. They take important design decisions and engineering approaches that can be disruptive within and outside of their department towards simplifying architecture, reducing technical debt and increasing flow.
Role Background
Enterprise search is the entry window into any action on onboarding this encompasses searching for entities, triggering workflows and viewing existing data structures. The 2 resources were responsible for maintaining these functions should any defects occur but also to support enhancements to any changes we make in the CRDS model and workflow actions. For example we may want to add a new type of onboarding relationship to support a new business function, the enterprise team would need to adjust the functionality to ensure the new request type is available to users and that the action triggers the appropriate workflow in dbCAR
Tech Experience
The Senior Enterprise Search Engineer requires deep technical knowledge of the search engines systems Apache Solr, Apache NiFi and MicroFocus IDOL.
