The team
 

Deloitte’s Cloud Engineering services are your entry point on the Cloud journey, setting the goals, pace, and direction to fit your business objectives. Services include readiness, strategy, business case development, architecture and planning, governance and policy, and operating model transformation.
 

Scope of work

 

As a practitioner, in our Consulting practice, you will have the opportunity to build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the goal of exceeding client expectations. Here is an overview of your responsibilities:

 

  • Understand existing processes and facilitate change requirements as part of a structured change control process
  • Experience of architecture, design, and implementation of complex, highly available and highly scalable Cloud solutions
  • Strong knowledge in Cloud-best practices and hands-on experience in design, implementation, and/or support
  • Experience in a broad set of technologies related to IT infrastructure and cloud to drive the adoption of Cloud in enabling the transition from traditional platforms to cloud-ready architectures.
  • Solve day-to-day issues arising while running robotics processes and provide timely resolutions

 

Qualifications / Eligibility criteria

 

  • 6-9 Years of experience in developing Cloud Native Solutions along with Microservices based architecture in a DevOps environment for large enterprises.
  • Experience hosting an application on GCP using Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud SQL, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage etc.
  • Prior experience working with container technology such as Docker, version control systems (Github), build management and CI/CD tools (Concourse, Jenkins), and monitoring tools (App Dynamics, etc.)
  • Experience with infrastructure configuration management tools such as Terraform, Puppet and Chef.
  • Experience in developing automated pipeline for build, test, deploy and manage code changes using native app development services like Google Kubernetes Engine , Cloud Run, Cloud Code, Container Registry etc.
  • Experience in working on cloud-based infrastructure, with a keen understanding of at least one of the following ecosystems – Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure etc.
  • In depth Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) along with knowledge of applying object-oriented and functional programming styles to real-world software engineering problems.
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
  • Hands-on experience in Cloud API and Microservices design and development on major cloud platforms
  • Hands-on experience in App Modernization and API development, Data sets of different formats like JSON, XML, etc.
  • Knowledge of developing RESTful services, Experience with various messaging systems, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.  
  • Desirable: Any Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Good to have: Experience in multiple Cloud platforms

  • Ability to effectively articulate architectural and business use case requirements to a non – technical audience, including both internal and client-facing engagements
  • Ability to chart one’s own career and build networks within the organisation
  • Ability to work both, independently and as part of a team with professionals at all career levels
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and raise concerns/questions where appropriate
  • Own the work assigned from end-to-end
