Deputy Manager : AGS Actuator Design

Role:

To design and develop AGS actuator & vehicle application.

Responsibilities:

1. Hydraulic system specification development for AGS.
2. Lay-outing and packaging of AGS actuator in vehicle.
3. Development of proto parts & tooled up parts by concurrent engineering with suppliers.
4. Analysis of market problems/ NVH & Assembly issues pertaining to AGS system.
5. Design modifications of hydraulic system for performance improvement / cost reduction.

Competency Requirements

Technical/ Functional:

1. CAD proficiency – Uni-graphics (mandatory) & CAE.
2. Simulation of hydraulic circuits – AMESim, Matlab etc.
3. Understanding of Automated Manual Transmission (Gear shift mechanism, Synchromesh system, Clutch & Clutch release system etc.)
4. Tolerance stack-up, GD&T, BOM Management, Statistical analysis.
5. Understanding of hydraulic system design.
6. Understanding of evaluation requirements of AGS Actuator & interpretation of test reports.
7. Understanding of production processes for parts of a hydraulic system and design for manufacturing.
8. Knowledge of Powertrain (P/T) controls electronics HW & SW, sensor technologies, TCU and vehicle P/T CAN development tools (INCA, CAN analyser etc.).
