We are looking for a BlackLine Deputy Manager/Manager for our rapidly growing India Assurance practice. This dynamic team is a part of our overall Finance Transformation solution under Deloitte’s Assurance practise focused on “Digitization of Finance.” This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking for an leadership opportunity within the security of a well-established firm. This position will be directly involved with relationship management and onsite client projects within India.

He/she will work closely with the business lines to understand business requirements while matching those to the functionality and capability of the automation tools. 

In addition, he/she will be responsible for working closely with the Center of Excellence leadership and assigned Business Architect, in effort to lead and collaborate in the design and delivery of all related solutions. 

As our BlackLine Manager, you will be able to draw from your experience and knowledge to help clients improve their business by providing services such as BlackLine Implementations, Process Improvement, Financial Transformation, Procedure Design and Optimization, etc. This practice line is exciting, growing and offers tremendous career opportunity.

Pre Sales:

Sales:

  • Help drive the sales process by communicating overall value of BlackLine, proposals and providing implementation estimates
  • Work with multiple internal teams like SAP, markets, consulting teams to help achieve targets set for the Digital Assurance team

 

 

 

 

 

Execution and implementation:

  • Lead BlackLine implementation projects, assess, troubleshoot/test during the implementation cycle
  • Responsible for setting proper expectations with clients. Ensure all key stakeholders are accurately aware of progress and next steps in a real time manner
  • Process analysis/optimization, documentation, project management skills and the ability to work in collaborative teams
  • Being the point of escalation for break/fix queries; resolve issues by triage where necessary, engaging with the broader Technology teams

 

Post implementation:

  • The candidate should empower the accounting and finance function to manage and control the end-to-end financial close process by providing governance on accounting workflows, providing a centralized and secure workspace to perform period-end accounting activities and helping the Stakeholders in streamlining financial reporting activities
  • Train and advise clients in the leading use of BlackLine to fit their specific needs

 

General:

  • Train and mentor other consulting staff and the BlackLine team on BlackLine functionality and value
  • Provide input and contribute to the development of BlackLine processes and procedures for service delivery, including. development of templates, documentation of best practices, contribution to the knowledge base, etc.
  • Promoting BlackLine internally and externally as a tool to help increase productivity and efficiency

 

 

Qualifications

 

    • Post Graduate or Qualified CA preferred
    • Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in accounting, operations and/or performance improvement consulting
    • 3+ years of experience using BlackLine or 2+ years of experience implementing BlackLine across modules like Account reconciliation, Transaction matching, Task management, Journal entry
    • Experience in other online reconciliation and close automation tools
    • Finance transformation and Project management experience is required
    • Should be a team player with a proactive and result oriented approach
    • Ability to prioritize, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity. Should have Good presentation & communication skills
    • Should also be well versed with MS office tools
    • Should be open and honest in communication with clients and colleagues Fluency in written & verbal English
