Job Description

Role:

User Experience Assessment, User Scenario definitions, Problem Framing, Wireframing, Prototyping, User Boarding, Usability testing

Responsibility:

▪ Neutrally represent User in a project and while management deliberations

▪ Continuously evaluate prospect and user needs and industry trends and serve as a conduit to Product for Product development

▪ Travel to end-user sites and pilot/test locations to scout opportunities

▪ Develop new tools to make effective prototypes and closer to users/ use-cases

▪ Identify design shortfalls & User needs through User Researches

▪ Making design + UX proposals related to functions & features

▪ Delivering on project requirements & within target timelines

▪ Come up with UI and UX strategies based on our target goals

▪ Collaborate with other Depts. to utilize their domain expertise to ensure successful delivery on user needs & ultimately high levels of user satisfaction

▪ Define & describe an architecture of a solution in context of a specific solution

▪ Compile & present User needs and solutioning to Management/ Leadership

Competency Requirements:

Technical/Functional:

▪ Experience in Solution Engineering and communicating complex user issues and use cases to development teams/ product departments

▪ Deep familiarity with both quantitative & qualitative research methods including AB testing, data analytics, and user research

▪ Familiarity and experience with agile development methodologies

▪ experience analyzing some unstructured information, knowledge of visualizing, hands-on with MS Office, and Creative Prototyping tools

▪ experience interpreting user insights into potential engineering opportunities

▪ Adequate skill in crafting original GUI mockup, storyboarding, user flows, freehand sketching, and low fidelity prototypes

▪ Curiosity of data-based decision making and comfort working with data

▪ Basic understanding of Design Thinking

▪ Basic understanding of automotive systems

Familiarity and experience with development tools (JIRA, Miro, XD, Figma etc.)

▪ Willingness to be occasionally hands-on (Telematics Hardware installation at the customer facility for POC, application testing, etc.)

▪ Willingness to travel up to 50% of the work week (in no-pandemic situation)

▪ Basic technical understanding of smartphone App dev

▪ Experience conducting a user research

▪ Experience with user-centered design methodologies

▪ Working knowledge of behavioral analysis

▪ Basic understanding of Controller Area Network protocol & Telematics system

Educational Qualification:

B.Des. (graphic, interaction, industrial) or B.E. or B.Tech.
