Test Director

About the role

 

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Test Director to lead and scale Deloitte Testing services

 

Skills Required:

  • 18+ years’ experience in of Software Testing /Quality Management / Quality Assurance
  • Should have led large testing CoEs and global delivery engagements
  • Overall leadership and accountability of the timely and successful execution of testing activities
  • Should have strong background in testing and test strategies & plans for large to medium scale projects, you will be key in ensuring the system build is line with business requirements and defects if any are duly reported, managed, and resolved.
  • Must have experience in leading complex Quality engineering, test automation engagements across testing tools and  automation frameworks
  • Working as part of a large team and collaborating with business, data, and technology teams, you will be responsible for the development and execution of the project’s test strategies.
  • Experiment in identifying the scope of testing, collaboration with business SMEs for test strategy and plan preparation, performing hands on testing and match outputs against the expected results.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, proven track record of building strong relationships and establishing credibility with key stakeholders across different lines of business and hierarchies.
  • Mature and proactive with a high sense of responsibility and reliability.
  • Team player with proven record in leading and motivating team members from various locations, disciplines and nationalities.

 

Education and Qualifications

  • MBA/BE with an aggregate score of 80% or above from a Premium Institute.

 

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define the strategic direction for software testing services: test consulting, quality engineering, test delivery
  • Support GTM / Business development for Testing
  • Supporting presales activities
  • Lead the account management initiative across domestic accounts / GICs
  • Managing the service line financials across Revenue and sales
  • Hiring Deploying and managing resources for testing
  • Coaching, mentoring and grooming the testing team
  • Monitor the firm and program level risks and plan for mitigation
  • Ideating and Supporting the test assets creation and development of services for the next gen testing
  • Measure and monitor testing service level metrics such as target adherence, profitability, utilization
  • Experience and Knowledge on Test consulting, test process models would be a huge advantage
  • Managing large test deliveries in the International / Domestic geographies
    • Defining the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery
    • Estimate the testing effort by analysing the requirements of project.
    • Define and implement Test Strategy
    • Ensure projects are completed on time and own responsibility for the quality of the products.
    • Develop the test plan for the tasks, dependencies and participants required to mitigate the risks to system quality and obtain stakeholder support for this plan.
    • Assign task to all Testing Team members and ensure that all of them have sufficient work in the project.
    • Escalate the issues about project requirements to the leadership team
    • Ensure the timely delivery of different testing milestones.
    • Applying the appropriate test measurements and metrics in the project and the Testing Team

  • You need to have essential people management skills including empowering employees, active listening, conflict resolution, flexibility, and clear communication to manage your team.
  • You are required to have good domain knowledge and experience of managing testing assignments
