Job Purpose
|
- Role is responsible for the Microwave Operation and optimization in the South Circles and meeting the SLA/KPI
- To provide operational inputs to Planning teams for designing the microwave network using best telecom practices suiting county’s business environment.
- To drive OEM vendors, MS Partners and NOC to meet operational SLAs and make a way for operational excellence
- To ensure that the operating circles are aligned to the network architecture and complying all regulatory guidelines

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities
|
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
- Drive stakeholders like NOC, Filed Ops, Planning, infra provider etc) to achieve Microwave Network KPIs by developing various programs in fault & performance areas.
- OPEX optimization by AMC managements, operational deployment and spare management
- Effective intervention in the vendor governance to ensure product enhancement, elimination of bugs as well as addition of features which improves operational efficiency through software upgrade management.
- Carry out operational planning and Capacity Management process to achieve stable network with cost optimization. Drive various stakeholders- CODE, Finance – to address highly utilized links
- Performance Management of MW network-Devise strategy for clearing Errors, Utilization,RSL, Frequency mismatch etc
- Ensure compliance to regulatory and security guidelines through regular network audits and consequent management.
- Ensure process standardisation and automation along with Systems Integration of various MW NMS/NMS with OSS to achieve operational efficiency.
- Enhance Planning team with operational feedback.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience
|
Core competencies, knowledge and experience
- 14-20 years’ experience in telecom sector with NOC and field operation
- Graduate in Electronics/Computer science
- Technical expertise in Packet/Ethernet/IP technologies :
- Exposure in Traffic Engineering and planning
- Experienced in Network optimization, understanding various network topology
- Effective communication skills for interaction with circle teams, vendors, managed service partners for resolving operational issues in minimum time
- Ability to work in dynamic and matrix organization.

|
- BE in Electronics & Communication
- CCNA Certification preferred.
- MBA/PGDBM Preferred
