Job Description
About this opportunity
The software tester will be involved in the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment and his role is to identify & get resolved all the errors/bugs in the application, ensuring the quality of the end deliverable.
What you will do

Understand & Analyzing technical requirements and lead requirements workshops with a customer.

Support XFTs in preparing test scenarios and implementing Test Plans.

Preparing test plans, specifications, and cases

Upload test cases to the test management tool and Update the test execution status in the test management tool with screenshots and evidence.

Solid foundation in data structures, data algorithms, and software design with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Keep track of all software license entitlement and investments, maintain license records, and current utilization, and identify licensing surplus or shortfalls
-
Proven analytical abilities in test execution as well as testing procedures.

Ensure that the assigned test activities are realized within the approved cost, time, and quality.

Perform regular quality assessments of the overall node/feature & functionality and testing practices & procedures.

Carry out defect analysis with a focus on improvement in overall node quality.

Experience working with tools like JIRA & Bitbucket, GIT, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Zabbix, and Configuration

You should have knowledge of Agile software development methodologies (Scrum, TDD, CI) and Lean!

Good exposure to testing methodologies for functional tests using different technologies. Web services or API Testing using tools like SOAP UI/POSTMAN is required.

Working level knowledge of SQL & Linux administration.

Any prior experience working in the Telecom domain/solutions is preferred.

System testing, supporting UAT, Stress Testing, and Performance Testing

Solid grasp of telecommunication business processes – especially in Project Management, ITIL, ETOM, etc. related – with strong knowledge of systems and process integration.

Willing to write decent documentation and improve code readability.

3+ years of software development experience and minimal 3 years in UPCUL domain.
To be successful in the role you must have:
- Education: Academic degree, minimum on bachelor level, in engineering (IT, Telecom)
- Minimum years of relevant experience: Min 8-12 years
- Domain experience: IT Processes, hardware-software tools, and infrastructure knowledge.
