Job Purpose

Design how the various modules of the Electric vehicles (EV) digital solution will interact with one another and in some cases with existing systems. Define and own the solution architecture, including all components, middleware, interfaces and application programming interfaces (APIs) required for EV ecosystem. Define the testing and scalability requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Shaping, implementing and leading delivery of strategic EV products to ensure that the company stays on the leading edge
  • Should have a real passion for software development and a demonstrated appetite for continual learning, typically manifest in community contributions (e.g., open source work, publishing / speaking on technical ideas)
  • Responsible for development of technology solutions and mapping business requirements to systems/technical requirements to ensure they are in line with the enterprise architectural plan.
  • Demonstrate leadership in product quality, technical excellence and engineering practices. Providing specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered.
  • Contribute across the technology stack, from database and DevOps infrastructure that supports continuous deployment, to native apps
  • Leverage agile prototyping practices and transformation experts to provide a differentiating and distinctive service.

Work Experience

Education

Computer Science Graduate or Postgraduate

Experience

  • 10-13 years of experience in software development, architecture and/or IT management positions out of which around 3 years should be in EV experience
  • Excellent understanding of Node.js, Go, Ruby on Rails, Java, PHP, Perl, SQL, HTML, .Net, JavaScript or CSS
  • Infrastructure knowledge including RESTful APIs, Single Sign On, LDAP, LAMP, Search Technologies
  • Rich background in agile software development, architecture, and/or development management is expected
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills paired with the ability to develop creative and efficient solutions
  • Experiences with code refactoring, design patterns, design-driven development, continuous deployment, highly scalable applications, application security
  • Expert in pair programming, continuous integration, test-driven development & incremental design
