End to end Procurement Operations & Strategic Sourcing
- Managing end to end Procurement of Globally managed Active Ingredients (AIs) within the category
- Developing Global Commodity Strategy documents for key Ais within the category
- Ensuring timely availability of quality materials
- Negotiation with suppliers based on forecast for price
- Supporting development of new commodities for NPD launch
- Participate in Annual Budget presentation
- Ensuring procure to pay cycle is managed efficient
Supplier Relationship Management
- Managing relationship with existing suppliers & build new alternate supplier based on backward capability of Tech manufacturers for Global Key AIs
- Legal interface with suppliers & co-ordination with internal legal team for drafting in order to executing contracts
- New suppliers’ development on need basis
CoGS improvement & Working capital
- Execution of CoGS improvement projects in line with long term strategy for the key commodities
- Management of inventory and payables by improving on CNOD to meet Working capital target
Competitive Benchmarking.
- Screening of global EXIM data for competitors benchmarking and presenting to Global Category Head for decision making.
- Aptitude for Market Intelligence by use of various databases and sources to build and logically connect to meet the departmental strategic intent for day to day decision making.
Required Education and Skill Set:
- Preferably BE Chemical or Chemistry Graduate with MBA in Supply Chain Management
- Total experience of 8 to 12 years out of which 5 years preferably with Agro / Chemical industry background in Strategic Sourcing / Procurement Role.
- Good understanding of Agrochemicals/Pesticides Regulatory know how.
- Should have a knowledge and experience of Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Agro Supplier Base
- Should have a strong stake holder management skills.
