Marketing Budget Analyst
Job Description
This Marketing Budget Analyst position is located in India and will support the marketing leadership of NTT DATA in the areas of budget and procurement. The person will gain an understanding of the marketing department, as well as the processes within procurement and finance, leading to a wide range of opportunities for advancement. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in excel building budgets and learning company processes. The position will interact with several marketing teams and will have the opportunity to advance in marketing, finance, or procurement.
The position is full-time remote, work-from-home, with some opportunity for in-person team meetings in Bangalore. The position primarily supports the VP of Marketing in India but will also support some US leaders. The candidate should be prepared to work some evening hours for virtual communication with US teams and leaders. Training will be provided by two other team members already proficient in all areas. The position reports to the VP of Marketing Operations.
Responsibilities might include:
- Opening purchase requests and purchase orders in the global Ariba system.
- Building, maintaining, and communicating leaders’ budgets in excel.
- Working on marketing teams, assisting with organizing excel spreadsheets.
- Engaging with finance and procurement within NTT DATA.
Skills Required:
- Strong communication skills in English are required
- Intermediate excel skills
- Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting
- Working on teams and individually
- Remote work – ability to build a time schedule using both IST and US working day hours
- Some Evening hour availability for US communications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Business or equivalent experience
Preferred skills and experience:
- Familiarity with accounting terms such as amortization, accrual, and accounts payable
- Experience with Ariba for procurement
- Knowledge of GST and Input tax credit applicability in India would be helpful
- Experience in General Ledger reconciliation or cost center report reconciliation
