Work you’ll do                                    

 

As a Senior Manager in our Tax team, you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations. You will:

 

  • Advisory:
  • Providing opinions in the form of memos, notes and presentations on    various transfer pricing issues
  • Determination of the arm's length margin based on the functions, assets and risks of the company

 

  • Transfer Pricing advisory pertaining to business restructuring:
  • Review of inter-company pricing arrangements
  •  Advising the client on possible transfer pricing exposures in relation to proposed international transactions
  •  Review of costs allocation models
  • Analysis of the recent audit orders passed in cases of companies and providing inputs on the same

 

  • Compliance:
  • Preparation of transfer pricing documentation for various multinational Clients
  •  Detailed understanding of the business profile and functions, assets and risks of Clients
  •  Research and analysis of the respective client industry
  • Identifying companies performing similar functions as of the Clients using Indian and international database
  •  Preparation of Form 3CEB

 

  • Audit proceedings
  •  Handling transfer pricing assessments and appeals (at Transfer Pricing Officer, Dispute Resolution Panel, Commissioner of Income-Tax (Appeals) and Appellate Tribunal level)
  • Compiling information required for preparation of submissions, and for providing clarifications that may be required by the Revenue authorities
  • Preparing written submissions, as required, in connection with the revenue proceedings involving analysis of various case laws
  • Time to time representations before the Revenue authorities
  • Assisting the legal counsel in representing at the Tribunal Level
  • Assisted in drafting submissions and representing at the Tribunal Level

 

  • Client Management
  • Act as the key point of contact and support for existing Clients
  • Building client relationships by regularly interacting with Clients (via calls, emails, meetings, discussions, etc.)
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities with respect to existing as well as prospective Clients
  • Independently conduct meetings/ interactions with Clients/ Targets while demonstrating technical capabilities and understanding of client’s business

 

  • Leadership & Collaboration
  • Team Management:
    • Pro-actively manage retention of team members with attrition not more than 15% to competition
    • Engage with team members motivating them to achieve their goals
    • Resolves conflicts, confrontations and disagreements positively and constructively
    • Mentor the team in a manner that they can function independently and connect with appropriate levels of leadership even in one’s absence
  • Role Model Leadership
    • Act as a magnet for attracting Talent and actively refer people
    • Actively participates in all team and leadership meetings, trainings, offsites, and extending support to all key initiatives
    • Maintains positive and productive relationships and fosters an environment that emphasizes knowledge sharing and group participation
  • Business Collaboration
    • Bs a team player and work collaboratively on various initiatives across service lines/functions. Extend support to other teams through sharing of resources, ideas, knowledge. Provide support to the firm by taking efforts to reach out to people who intend to leave the organization from other groups and finding ways to retain them
    • Increase cross penetration index by ensuring that atleast 40% of your client relationships are serviced by other Tax Service Lines
    • Provide active support in transitioning to industry model by re-arranging client portfolio and targeting
  • Others
    • Development / promotion of the Deloitte Tax brand name – articles in publications, speaker at seminars, etc.
    • Extend support to development of Thought Leadership papers in area of expertise

 

Qualifications

 

  • CA or CS or MBA Finance Primer Institutes
  • 8-10 year Experience in Transfer Pricing
  • Strong Technical knowledge
  • Analytical skills & conceptual clarity
  • Innovation and creative thinking
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Time and cost management
  • Managing and leading a team
  • Mentor for professionals

  • Provides recommendations of local or domestic income tax, corporate tax, international tax, customs, and multistate tax principles to identify highly complex TP and non-TP issues and make referrals to other tax teams
  • Determines the Transfer Pricing (TP) method and delivery approach most suitable for the project based on sufficient information gathered and client discussions identifying intellectual property issues/risks
  • Leads and oversees complex economic analyses that enable attainment of key client’s objectives, while facilitating the definition of risk priorities
