Senior Manager_ Agri Services and Sustainability

1.    Purpose of Job

Enhance competitive advantage of commodity
sourcing services and improve Choupal vibrancy by enhancing farmer connect,
profitability and sustainability through Crop Development programmes.

2.    Key Responsibilities

Enhancing competitive advantage of Commodity
sourcing services of the Division through Crop Development programmes – Wheat
and Soybean

·         Ensure
coverage of Wheat Development Programme (WDP) as per the agreed plan and
business requirement

·       Responsible for coordinating with various branch and field teams
on crop development and Agri extension activities to meet the objectives set by
the organization

·         Assist in Planning field trials and
demonstration plots in coordination with field teams, research institutes,
consultants, and input providers

·         Coordinate with LSTC (R&D),
External organizations like IARI, IIWBR, PAU, ICRISAT etc whenever required.

·         Plan and execute R&D Trails in
association with Internal and External stake holders.

Improving Choupal vibrancy through farmer
connect, productivity and sustainability initiatives

·         Plan and execute
Choupal Pradarshan Khet for multiple commodities like Wheat, Soya, Paddy and Pulses.

·         Expansion of CPK to
multiple commodities and new geographies.

Expansion of Public Private Partnership programme

·         Expand PPP programme in
association with Sustainability team.

Community managed Seed Bank project

·         Expansion of community
managed Seed bank project to new geographies.

·         Expand Seed bank
programme to critical varieties and alternative varieties.

Responsible for divisional CSR report back and budget. Coordinate with
multiples businesses and corporate office.

Assist business teams for Certification process, guide field teams for adherence
to standards and processes.

3.    Personal profiling

·         Educational Qualifications: Post Graduation in
Agriculture from reputed Agriculture University. 

·         Knowledge
on Sustainability and Certification processes.

·         Highly self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work with minimal
supervision

·         Proven ability to handle the mental and physical demands

·         Demonstrated ability to work well with people from a variety of
backgrounds

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Excellent Computer skills
