About this opportunity
This role will provide in-depth, expert level support and advise the Regional EP /Proposal team in Packet Core – UDC domain. Has to work closely with regional counterparts in Customer Solution Designing, High Level Design (HLD)/ Low Level Design (LLD) based on the requirements and perform Installation, Integration, configuration of UDC nodes such as HLR/HSS/CUDB (UDR) /EIR/MNP/CCxx (AUSF-UDM).

What you will do
- Designing and Deployment of Technical solutions in Solution Area Packet core, covering UDM stack of CUDB, HLRFE, HSSFE, IPWorks, EIR and 5GC.
- Work on preparation of HLD / LLD for the UDC Network as per the Customer solutions.
- Application deployment over native (Bare metal) and virtualized environment like OpenStack, VMware, AWS, OpenShift etc.
- Deployment, integration and testing of UDC Containerized applications (CCxx) for 5GC network.
You will bring
- Solution, design and integration of Packet Core – UDC Nodes which should primarily include HLR/HSS/CUDB (UDR) /EIR/MNP/IPworks/CCxx (AUSF-UDM).
- Should have end to end understanding the Packet Core Solutions. Cloud environment and understanding of how UDC solutions can be deployed over cloud.
- Should have deep knowledge of 2G/3G/4G and 5G call flows, and overall understanding of the newest technologies in the Telecom space including VoLTE, VoWiFi, IoT etc.
- Solid grasp of 2G/3G/4G/IMS-VoLTE/5G mobile networks on Core Node (UDC) aspects.
- Expertise in RHOSP / VMWARE / CEE /Docker/Containers/Kubernetes over BSP / Dell / HP / HDS, and orchestrators such as ATLAS, ECM, EO, LCM etc.
- Expertise in application onboarding, integration of UDC nodes on the Cloud environment.
- Must have good ‘hands-on’ working knowledge and understanding of Ericsson’s TSP (HSS-FE) & Ericsson Blade System (EBS) Nodes such as HLR-FE, CUDB & PG
- Supervise customer deployments and proactively, detect and report problems. Address customer support questions and respond with solutions in a timely manner and meeting SLA’s.
- Sound understanding of tools like Wireshark, JMeter, SoapUI etc.
- Recommends process improvement and procedures to explore simplification and automation to improve Network operational performance and efficiencies.
- Analyze capacity, network resource loading and overall network performance using available performance statistics tools.
- Monitors network and measure results after the Network Changes have been made.
- Scripting and automation of work using bash/shell/python/perl.
- Database knowledge: SQL, relational databases
- Experience on tools like JMeter, SoapUI
- External certification like AWS, RedHat, VMware will be an added advantage.
