Job Purpose

Ensuring 24×7 Operation & Maintenance of wet plant equipment at landing station as well as Beach Manhole and associated submarine cables Networks.

Responsible for day to day activities related to Submersible equipment alarm monitoring and Shore end physical fault providing timely report for analysis and its rectification including maintenance of BBG land route & BMH. 

Provide timely notifications and records for all consortium related matters for necessary actions to be taken.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities
  • Maintain Integrity of land Cable at all time.
  • Coordination with Local and other infrastructure bodies to keep BBG land route safe and provide update to Team lead of any upcoming or ongoing work which can impact land cable.
  • Proactive monitoring of BMH site and maintain a risk register and mitigation plan. Perform preventive & corrective maintenance.
  • Coordinate with relevant authority to ensure no damage to BMH.
  • Keep a record of new developments that are planned in the vicinity of BMH in coordination with local subcontractor and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain Cable Network & Traffic up Time
  • Coordination with cross-functional teams to adhere to the defined processes
  • Keeping records of lease payment schedule for BBG land route.
  • Submarine Land cable joint repair operation
  • Ensure Process/SLA compliance as defined within consortium
  • To attend a fault & restoration as per defined TAT
  • Responsible to deal with the Government authority for approval related with repair operation in Indian Territorial water & EEZ (Exclusive Economic Zone) (MOD & MOHA)
  • Onboard cable ship for wet segment cable repair operation

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience
  • SDH & DWDM
  • Submarine Cable System (5-7 years)
  • Total experience (8-10 years)
  • Type A Certification
  • Type B1/B2 Certification
  • Type C Certification
  • Knowledge to deal with Government authority for relevant approval related with cable fault repair operation & upgradation (Eg. MOHA, MOD, Navy, DOT, LIM & Custom)

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications
  • B.Tech (Electronics and Telecommunication) or Equivalent Degree
