Job Purpose

Finalization of Financial Statements of Vodafone Idea Limited and its subsidiaries.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

  • Analyze the standards, transactions and providing inputs for finalizing the necessary accounting guidelines
  • Review of reconciliation of Profit /Net Assets, for Ind AS and IFRS.
  • Ensure Vodafone Idea limited and its subsidiaries monthly, quarterly financial statements are prepared as per IND Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (IND AS).
  • Ensure Quarterly financial results of Vodafone Idea Limited (Standalone and Consolidated) are in compliance of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (IND AS) and Listing agreements
  • Preparation of detailed business reasons for movement for each item  of Profit and Loss account along with KPI's
  • Preparation of Cash Flow statement on quarterly basis
  • Prepare the required information to be provided to group companies.
  • Collating inputs from SSC / Corporate / Circles with respect to finalisation  of the company’s  Consolidated  financial statements
  • Monitor and maintain the Hyperion consolidation tool along with issues & enhancement.
  • Ensure standardization of accounting policies and practices across all the circles and business units. 
  • Review of Chart of accounts and take appropriate action for any disconnects
  • Regular analysis of the changes in the reporting requirements, assess the changes impacting the company, its subsidiaries  and its joint ventures / associates, appraise Top Management and implement changes in consultation with the Top Management. 
  • Provide support and information for various other departments like regulatory, DoT, CAG and Tax Audits
  • Liaison with the statutory auditors to ensure smooth quarterly and annual audit of books.
  • Provide inputs and actively involved in ERP integration
  • Comparison of accounting polices / disclosures with peers in the Industry

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of Consolidation and Reporting.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements for listing agreements
  • Technical knowledge of Ind AS and International Financial Reporting Standard.
  • Knowledge of Companies act
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, SAP , Hyperion.

Must have technical / professional qualifications

Chartered Accountant

Years of Experience

Minimum Experience of 5 to 7 years in Financial Reporting
