Job Purpose

Business management of multiple product lines (NPLC, IPLC and layer 2 MPLS, Global Ethernet)  holistically, for maximum value creation for customers and business across their lifecycle. To define the short term and long term product strategy and manage the complete lifecycle of the NPLC, IPLC and layer 2 service product portfolio from conceptualisation to launch and revenue/service  management in order to achieve desired objectives – Market Share, Customer Satisfaction and Profitability for the category.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

  • Key accountability of sustaining and growing the revenue to INR 3200 Mn in 5 years. The role is central and support both enterprise and carrier segments of VIBS.
  • Market mapping of current and future product capabilities, sizing of business opportunities and creation of product strategic based on market needs and customer insights. Align with Group to work on a plan for Global Ethernet services
  • Work with Technology to drive future roadmap on design and SLA’s for NPLC/Layer 2 services with changing expectations from customers
  • Actively participate in key strategic deals as a subject matter expert by providing solutions and commercial support.
  • Deliver new features like managed services to market as per product roadmap and monitor performance with respect to SLAs and customer satisfaction. Drive day-to-day product and revenue management. Rigorous sales and funnel governance to increase revenue market share.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

  • Min 8+ years of experience as a SME in leased lines in product management & development function. In depth market knowledge on ethernet services  It also requires a significant knowledge on how large capacity OTT players function in the market, their SLA needs, capacity needs and thereby driving product enhancements to meet the market demand.
  • Strong influential and leadership skills to drive engagements with Group product heads and global product managers to ensure all VIBS feature requirements are a part of Groups roadmap.
  • Expertise with managing products through their full life-cycle and the through a robust and rigorous Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process.
  • End-to-end proposition development experience including developing product concepts, business cases, delivering products through NPD cycles and as building robust Go-to-market plans.

KPI:

  • Target NPLC, IPLC, L2 MPLS Revenue and Growth in line with DB. Long Term roadmap and vision to increase market share for the respective product lines
  • Managing P&L  by working along with cross functional teams to continuously evaluate costs and work on reducing them to drive higher profitability
  • Product Capability enhancements and new product launches complementing existing products
  • Annual and LRP planning – market and customer insight, business objectives, depth of analysis, extent of detailing and timelines

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications

  • Engineering Graduate / MBA  or equivalent
  • Product Management certifications- Pragmatic Marketing/Blackblot/Equivalent
  •
