Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ind AS 117 –

(i) Managing Ind AS 117 implementation project

(ii) Finalization of Ind AS 117 implementation plan and ensuring delivery of various milestones as per plan

(iii) Co-ordinate with various stakeholders internal/external (Consultant, Steering committee, Regulator, Industry) on Ind AS 117

(iv) Quarterly update to Audit committee/Board on Ind AS 117 progress

(v) Finalization of system for Ind AS 117 and ensure successful implementation of system

  • Financial Reporting (I GAAP and Ind AS) – Monthly/Quarterly preparation of financial statements, monthly review with CFO and quarterly update to Audit Committee
  • SEBI reporting – Submission of quarterly audited results with Stock exchange and ensure timely compliances with SEBI regulations. Co-ordinate with Debenture trustee and provide the requisite details as and when required
  • Group reporting Co-ordinate with promoters and provide the requisite details as and when required
  • Audit Committee/Board Deliverables – Ensure timely submission of Audit committee/Board deliverables, review of policies approved by Audit Committee/Board and closure of ATRs
  • Quarterly/Annual Audits Managing Statutory audits, Internal audits including ICFR
  • Compliances – Ensuring compliances with Accounting Standards, Companies Act, IRDAI and SEBI regulations
  • Project Management – Planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely manner and within budget
  • System Enhancements – Testing of system requirements, evaluate new requirements and providing CRs to IT, liase with IT for resolution of defects and delivery

DESIRED COMPETENCES/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Chartered Accountant
  • Minimum 12-15 years of relevant experience post qualification
  • Life Insurance experience in Financial Reporting
  • Good knowledge of I GAAP, IND AS, Accounting practices and standards, SEBI and IRDAI regulations
  • Project management experience – Successfully implemented various significant projects at organization level
  • Team handling – managing larger teams
