Frontend – Technical Lead

Paytm is India’s leading digital payments and financial services company, which is focused on driving consumers and merchants to its platform by offering them a variety of payment use cases. Paytm provides consumers with services like utility payments and money transfers, while empowering them to pay via Paytm Payment Instruments (PPI) like Paytm Wallet, Paytm UPI, Paytm Payments Bank Netbanking, Paytm FASTag and Paytm Postpaid – Buy Now, Pay Later. To merchants, Paytm offers acquiring devices like Soundbox, EDC, QR and Payment Gateway where payment aggregation is done through PPI and also other banks’ financial instruments. To further enhance merchants’ business, Paytm offers merchants commerce services through advertising and Paytm Mini app store. Operating on this platform leverage, the company then offers credit services such as merchant loans, personal loans and BNPL, sourced by its financial partners. 

As a Technical Lead, you will be developing the detailed design structure, implementing the best practices and coding standards, leading a team of developers for successful delivery of the project. You will be working on design, architecture and hands-on coding.

– Develop new user-facing features Build reusable code and libraries for future use.

– 6 to 8 years of experience required in web development.

– Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability

– Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end services

– Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

– Add to engineering team’s culture of high code quality

– Stick to established coding standards and group procedures individually and in teamsSkills Required

– All candidates must be well-versed with the latest frontend/web tools/technologies

like( but not limited to) : HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Javascript, ES6, React, Redux, Node.js, Webpack, RWDs, PWAs etc. Good understanding of asynchronous request handling and partial page updates

– Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around

such issues

– Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT Good understanding of browser rendering behaviour and performanceNice to have:

Complete understanding of internal code library (jquery or any other)

Some record of contribution to any front end open source project.

Preferred Qualification : Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
