About this opportunity

Business Unit Networks (BNEW) Service Area Networks (SAN) has established a Service Area (SA) called Cloud & Applications (C&A). Its main mission is to provide best in class services categorized as Infrastructure, Platform, and Software as a Service (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) that support R&D’s end to end development pipeline. These services that cater to the R&D development and test workloads, shall be fully safeguarded, be highly available (powered by E2E monitoring, automation, analytics and self-healing), and be orderable through a self-service User portal provisioned in order of minutes.

The position is placed within unit Linux and Applications which is responsible to develop and support services required by our stakeholders.

What you will do

  • Work with technology leading services in an Ericsson private cloud environment using Agile and DevSecOps methodologies
  • Be proficient in Linux platform development and deployment
  • Create SW detailed design based on requirements from users and stakeholders
  • Develop and integrate services, components, and automation
  • Perform services unit testing and system testing
  • Execute services configuration (using Puppet), test, integration, and migration work
  • Develop modules in Puppet using Ruby.
  • Take part in OS Deployments (Linux Redhat, Ubuntu, CentOS and SUSE)
  • Take part in automation (Ansible, Puppet 7+, Python & SHELL script)
  • Work with Kurbernetes (K8s) and Docker technologies

You will bring

  • 3+ years of related development experience in the domain area
  • Good level of Puppet/Ruby programing skills
  • Education Qualification: B.E/B.Tech/MCA
  • Automation competence using technologies such as AWX Ansible and Puppet
  • K8s, Docker and Python experience
  • Proven team working and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Good understanding of R&D test and design environments and related R&D ways of working, tools, and concepts dealing with Cloud, Automation, Orchestration, and Data Centers as well as Information management, Security
  • Knowledge on IT infrastructure, Network, Storage, service offerings
  • Can-do attitude
  • Self-going
  • Good communicator
