Job Description
- Very strong working experience in UNIX (AIX/Solaris/Linux) administration with experience in large, complex estates.
- Expert level knowledge of Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas Cluster Server and Veritas Netbackup Client.
- Very good understanding of SAN configuration EMC/Hitachi LUNs on UNIX (AIX/Solaris/Linux) servers.
- Strong knowledge of host based SAN migrations.
- Act as a technical advisor to the team members throughout the project lifecycle from Unix side.
- Advanced understanding of developing and driving Automation using Ansible,Python / Shell.
- Strong understanding of DR Test, ITSRP,and OAT process.
- Should possess industry standard certifications for UNIX/Cluster Technologies.
- Strong understanding of the configuration concepts affecting service stability, availability and performance.
- Effective in dealing with Crises calls/Critical issues for business critical services.
- A strong understanding of external cloud technologies.
- Passionate about technology and solving IT operations-focused problems
- Should be well versed with ITIL concepts and more specific understanding of Service operations activities.
- Experience of working with agile practices and toolsets including JIRA and Confluence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience of knowledge transfer and mentoring of staff.
- Ability to work with globally distributed teams.
