Purpose of the Role:

This role is responsible for strategy and operations of new product development and commercialization for a specific project assigned to the group

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop strategy for new product development and execute the same
  • Development of Cost effective and sustainable technologies for agrochemical actives.
  • Continuous improvement of existing processes for cost and waste reduction and quality enhancement
  • Registration support by way of impurity senses/ isolation
  • Adherence and improvisation to Safety related norms
  • To ensure timely completion of plan and development of products and processes.
  • To regularly review the developmental activities and provide necessary support to the team.
  • Preparation of final SOPs and Technology transfer packages
  • Plant Commissioning activities and trial production runs
  • Documentation: Ensure documentation of experimental results in the standard format/journal
  • Team Capability Building to improve overall performance
  • Succession planning for critical roles
  • Talent Management and Team engagement
  • Mentoring and coaching for performance improvement

 

Qualification & Skillset:

  1. MSc / PhD – Organic Chemistry                                                                              
  2. 6-8 years in synthetic organic chemistry                                                                                      
  3. Knowledge of Agrochemical /Pharma Industry                                                                               
  4. Synthetic methodology for Agrochemicals and bulk drugs and other organic chemicals
  5. Knowledge of various analytical techniques like chromatography and spectroscopy
  6. Process scale-up and Plant commissioning
  7. Customer Focus, Resourcefulness, Drives Results, Builds Effective Teams, Collaborates, Cultivate Innovation
