Job Summary:

The role is part of the Global IP Function, responsible for Patent Prosecution in different jurisdictions (US, EP, IN, BR, CN etc.). Defending UPL's application against Pre- Post grant Opposition. Patent database update. National Phase filing.

 

JOb Responsibilities:

 

  • Interaction with R&D to ascertain recipe and process filed in the patent application.
  • Strategize claim amendments with team lead and law firms
  • Support law firms in preparing arguments on technical front with respect to patent prosecution and oppositions. Filing of National Phase application.
  • Co-ordination for POAs and assignment.
  • Updating patent database.
  • Attend hearing in patent office and court.
  • Timely reply to the office actions without extensions. 
  • Strategize divisional filings
  • Interaction with cross functional teams for gathering information regarding formulation and process

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Overall, 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Master’s in chemistry (MSc) OR Pharmaceutical sciences (M. Pharma)                    
  • PG Diploma in IPR, Patent agent, LLB
  • Good understanding & interpretation on patent laws in different jurisdictions.
  • LLB and Patent Agent is preferred.                          
  • Good Interpersonal skill required to interact with cross functional teams, Internal (Marketing, Business Teams and R&D) & External stake holders (Law Firms Attorneys)
