What role will you play as a member of the Colgate’s Information Technology team?

Design, develop and test to create quality solutions on time and within budget. To collaborate with business teams / functional teams and IT counterparts for daily support incidents and project activities in different business areas across all geographies.

Ability to understand the requirements related to business problems and transform that into a solution design.

 

WHO ARE YOU…

 

You are a Cloud Engineer 

 

–  Analyze business requirements to understand and Engineer new solutions within Cloud

–  Develop and maintain a balanced cloud governance framework

–  Develop and implement industry standards in Cloud environment

–  Isolate and diagnose common problems related to cloud infrastructure and it’s dependencies to fix issues or to support configurations

–  Review cloud configurations and suggest improvements based on industry standards

–  Evaluate proof of concepts for server, storage, network, and security technologies to support the cloud infrastructure.

–  Develop cloud practices, define and measure security related activities, and demonstrate improvements to the cloud programs within the organization.

–  Support day to day business requirements according to global SLA

–  Ensure the proper use of information technology project management methodology to align with governance practices

 

You are a collaborator – 

 

–  Build effective working relationships, make sound decisions, successfully make changes, initiate action and achieve results as a trusted advisor

–  Collaborate by organizing discussions with application owners to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, and high availability in the cloud.

–  Consult with business users requirements for new and existing business/technology solutions and assure compliance to standards.

–  Mentor and coach junior resources within and across teams

 

You are an innovator – 

 

–  Stay updated with the latest technological advancement. Adapt to these changes by self-training and research work and evaluate how / where it can make valuable contributions to strengthen the cloud solutions.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED…(REQUIRED)

 

–  At least 2+ years in Cloud Engineering like GCP /AWS

–  Ability to work effectively in a fast paced team environment

–  Ability to multi-task and meet timelines with minimal direction

–  Effective communication both written and verbally

–  Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail

–  Strong analytical and problem solving skills

–  Good understanding of cloud computing capabilities and limitations, business drivers, virtualization technologies,

–  A strong ability to learn new technologies

–  Thorough understanding of system and infrastructure management (Windows & Linux servers, firewalls, load balancers, hypervisors, storage, monitoring, security etc.)

–  Good command of software-automation production systems (Github Actions, Selenium, etc.)

–  Ability to support automation efforts with scripting skills

WHAT YOU’LL NEED…(PREFERRED)

 

–  Deep Knowledge on GCP and AWS

–  Google Cloud Architect certified (Preferred)

–  AWS Certified Solution Architect – Professional

–  Scripting Knowledge using Python, JSON, YAML

–  Terraform, GitHub, Ansible

–  Knowledge on Cloud Implementation & problem solving

–  Understanding of different cloud services and their deployments

–  Understanding of infrastructure correlations with basic knowledge of Servers, networking, AD, security etc
