JOB CONTEXT


  • Given the constant evolution in consumer behaviours of today, it is an exciting time to be a part of our highly energetic and focused Consumer Marketing Team, which is centered around people-centric need spaces. As a senior brand manager, you will get the opportunity to be an orchestrator of the brand throughout the consumer journey to ensure holistic platform solutions

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES – WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

A brand strategist


  • Curate the brand strategy by mapping consumer and competitor insights and trends and operationalise it by co-developing an Annual Grid of activities with the Leadership based on the category strat. plan.

A product imagineer


  • Develop creative solutions to innovate and transform the products to be relevant in the current context and suited to the consumers’ need and purpose

An owner of remarkable commercial success


  • Have complete clarity and command on the P&L of the brand, orient yourself towards driving a positive impact on the top and bottom-line margin and improving profitability by carefully planning investments for long-term brand building

A storyteller of the brand


  • Craft a precise story for communicating your brand in an evocative way and give way to best-in-class media planning by partnering with Digital Media Managers across platforms (IMC, E-commerce, Omnichannel REs)

A mirror of the consumer


  • Be a fly on the wall and constantly practice social listening to be glued to everyday consumer chatter, chase consumer footprints across online and offline touchpoints of the consumer journey and swiftly act on the inputs received through an analysis of promotions, packaging, advertising etc.

 

KEY CAPABILITIES

Consumer Curiosity


  • Be aware about who is buying the company's products and when, where, how and why they are consuming and buying particular products to be able to build effective brand strategies.

 

Data & Analytics


  • Capture behavioral insights of consumers, gather information on competitor activities, have the commercial acumen to understand business trends in consumer marketing and have a running visibility of business impact created by the brand.

 

Innovation


  • Look for opportunities to seek creative and experimental solutions while managing the brand portfolio, consumer and trade promotion, market research, product development, volume and operations planning, and financial mix of brand/product line.

 

Strategic Thinking


  • Think ahead and have a clear vision of the brand's future, take time to calculate the risks and stay focussed on long-term profitability of the business.

 

Evocative Communication


  • Narrate a meticulous story for the brand to maximise reach and engagement, develop a strong positioning statement and value proposition for the brand

 

Proficient Collaboration


  • Establish partnerships and set in place accurate processes to engage with multiple internal and external stakeholders including internal crossfunctional teams – manufacturing, planning, insights, retail marketing and customer development.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education


  • An MBA in Marketing and Sales from a reputed tier 1 B-school

 

Work Experience:


  • Required: Atleast 2 years of Prior brand / product management experience in the personal care space (skin care preferable) with an understanding of how the FMCG Industry operates

  • Required : Experience in delivery of large, multi-faceted, digital campaigns

  • Required: Working understanding of Brand P&L and levers


  • Desirable: Actively running Direct to Customer (D2C) for a brand/s
