Job Description

Role:

Automotive  Model Based Design Professional –Body Domain

  •  Automotive body domain Function design & development
  • Functions like Gateway, Cybersecurity, OTA
  • Good Knowledge of Functional safety and Cybersecurity Standard
  • Model-based development
  • Control Software Generation using TARGET-LINK
  • AUTOSAR application development (SWC) / RTE (AUTOSAR)
  • AUTOSAR BSW & ASW configuration and integration
  • Hardware and software integration
  • Verification & Testing using Hardware in Loop (HIL) system
  • Knowledge of multi-core platforms and Hypervisor

AUTOSAR

  • Architecture modeling tools
  • AUTOSAR Application Software development in Model-based Code-generation tools (SWC development)
  • Application RTW, BSW configuration, and integration
  • Basic software RTE, communication stack, BSW services

SIL (Software in Loop)

  • Model-based SIL validation and back-2-back comparison
  • Virtual ECU validation

CODE GENERATION

  • Using Simulink (logic and/or floating-point model) convert, test, and verify it to make Fixed-point model
  • Code Generation Platform (Target-link / embedded Coder)
  • Design / Customize / Develop / Test, Verify, Validate / Maintenance
  • CAN communication Code

SOFTWARE INTEGRATION:

  • Generated Application software linking to Basic software
  • Integration of basic (Hardware platform) libraries to Application code & Link-files etc.

TESTING:

  • Software debugging
  • Test Coverage Analysis and supporting Test-creation
  • Function/Module testing
  • Integration Testing
  • Hardware-in-loop bench set-up & Testing
  • ECU under-test harness development

Competency Requirements:

Technical/ Functional:

CODING:

  • Embedded Coding: C, C++
  • Embedded Software development lifecycle

 

MODEL SPECIFICATION:

  • SIMULINK and STATEFLOW modeling, MATLAB scripting
  • Modeling guidelines, MCDC,
  • Model verification on Virtual Simulation platform; MIL, SIL, HILS

 

COMMUNICATION PROTOCOLS:

  • CAN, LIN, Ethernet Communication protocol
  • Diagnostic communication protocols ex: KWP2000
  • Ethernet communication

 

HARDWARE:

  • Micro-controller/Micro-processor architecture
  • Micro-controller hardware I/O configuration

TOOLS:

  • AUTOSAR (Davinci developer, System Desk, System Composer, EB Treson, Da Vinci configuration pro)
  • Auto-code generation tools like Embedded-Coder / Target-Link etc.
  • Any of DSPACE / ETAS / OPAL-RT HiLs hardware and software
  • ECU testing, excellent electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills
  • Model Based Design, experience with MATLAB Simulink/Stateflow and DSPACE products such as HILS, Rapid Prototyping (Micro- AutoBox)
  • Exposure to scripting language e.g. python / Perl /m-script
  • Polyspace, BTC Embedded, MXAM

 

STANDARDS:

  • Working knowledge of AUTOSAR, ISO-26262 standards.
  • Modeling standards

Educational Qualification:

  • M.E / M. Tech in Control Systems / Power Electronics / Mechatronics and project work related to Automotive Body & Powertrain Systems
