Job Description
Desired Qualifications
- B. E / B. Tech degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical Engineering
- Diploma in Mechanical /Electrical / Chemical Engineering
- Additional Qualification: Post Diploma in Industrial Safety from Regional Labour Institute/ Central Labour Institute
Experience :
- Diploma in Engineering: Minimum 8-10 years of experience with at least 5 years of operational experience and 3-5 years of exposure in industrial safety
- B. E / B. Tech degree: Minimum 5-7 years of experience with at least 2-3 years of operational experience and 3-4 years of exposure in industrial safety
Job Responsibilities:
Safety
- To regularly inspect facilities, machinery and safety equipments to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure safety regulation compliance.
- Identify and recommend applicable and required safety standards to ensure a safe working environment and formulate safety rules to ensure that safety standards are met.
- Train operational staff on safety rules and conduct safety audits and safety committee meetings to ensure adherence to safety rules and standards
- Monitor statutory compliance by carrying out regular inspections and auditing the site.
- Well versed with 5S,3G, KY and directive towards standardization.
- Ensure all work permit requirements are properly implemented.
- Driving Safety Promotional Activities.
- Development of Safety Frame work in coordination with other departments.
Root Cause Analysis & Action Planning
- Conduct accident investigation by being part of a cross functional team
- Analyze accident, identify possible root causes, develop preventive and corrective steps and ensure proper implementation of the same
MIS Reporting
- Prepare required MIS reports for submission to HOD and other relevant interface:
- Status report on progress with respect to specific projects/initiatives (as and when required)
- Safety Alert/Safety Bulleting to entire staff (as and when accident occur)
· Safety Audit Report
- Knowledge about data analysis
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of Factory Act & other relevant Safety Rule & Guidelines, latest safety standards such as ISO 45001 & IS system and International Safety best practices
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes in the automobile sector /other manufacturing sectors
- Conflict management and resolution skills.
- Liaison with Government Department
