Role Details

  • Part of Unilever’s R&D IT Platform and responsible for R&D digital transformation in terms of Packaging and other key applications. Role involves direct partnering with business teams, third party teams and other technical teams in order to develop and deliver projects and services. E2E DevOps management of system releases(feasibility analysis, documentation, development, testing, productionizing) and application changes while identifying and resolving issues, risks and enhancements. Apart from these activities, a functional understanding of the evolving business needs and ways in which aspects such as data quality and process improvements can be monitored continuously and consistently.

Essential skills:

  • Good Project Management Skills: Sound knowledge of existing and new trends in project management and how can they be creatively leveraged in different situations.
  • Technical Acumen: Understanding of the key elements of an enterprise system comprising database, application servers, web interface, and to include aspects of security and user authentication.
  • Understanding of software development process and basic data analysis skills.
  • Good inter-personal and communication skills. Ability to communicate ideas and solutions clearly and confidently.
  • Self-motivated individual who can initiate discussions on process improvements and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Stakeholder management skills and good business acumen for addressing and prioritising business needs.
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management. Proven ability to impact and influence customers and stakeholders.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Participate in functional and technical design reviews (QA process) with strategic IT suppliers and/or other 3rd parties when/where appropriate
  • Hold vendors accountable for quality and timeliness of deliveries through governance mechanisms
  • Ensure adequate knowledge sharing and retention through documentation
  • Manage multiple vendor teams of large sizes
  • Keep the teams motivated with interactive and innovative ways of working

Desirable skills:

  • Understanding of IT Service Management and DevOps principles.
  • Project Management tools like Azure DevOps, JIRA etc
  • Data analytics and visualisation tools like Power Bi and Power Apps
  • Knowledge of trending technologies globally.
  • Proficiency in presentation skills.
