Job Description

  • Lead and manage a team of Relationship Managers (RM) who act as the most important physical interface between HSBC and business banking customers specifically engaged into New Age/Startup/Tech Business.
  • Develop the bank’s understanding and expertise in the Startup segment and work on building robust business, product and risk (both credit risk and financial crime risk) management capabilities.
  • Build strong engagement with external ecosystem of investors, influencers and thought leaders in the tech sector ecosystem.
  • Provide direction, be involved in new acquisition and channel development, and promote CMB’s two-pronged strategy “Best Bank for Business” and “Digital International SME Bank of Choice.”
  • The jobholder is responsible for overall revenues for his/ her Cluster/ Portfolio in Business Banking in <<City Name>>.
  • Responsible for sales management of staff and assigned responsibility.
  • Work with Product and Risk partners to develop broad understanding, product capabilities and partnerships in the ecosystem.
  • Ensure a stellar customer experience by driving teams to meet and exceed customer expectations through effective relationship management, ensuring customer banking needs are being met, and fully representing the HSBC brand while ensuring control/abide by the Financial Crime and Compliance policy
  • Protect the bank’s assets and reputation by knowing the customer and their business, monitoring for suspicious behaviour, and taking appropriate action as set forth in operating policies when necessary.
  • The incumbent would need to ensure optimizing of relationships with the RMed customer base.
  • Ensure customer complaints are promptly addressed.
