Organisation: This opening is for the position of Tender Leader and reports to the Head of Tendering. The tender team forms a part of the Commercial organisation in India.

 

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (preferably in Engineering)

 

Experience: 3 years. Exposure to tendering/commercial/contractual activities is strongly preferred. Awareness about the metro and railway market in India (major metro authorities/Indian Railways, competition). Good presentation and communication skills. Well versed in MS Powerpoint/Excel/Word. Awareness about Rolling Stock and Signalling is a bonus.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Lead tender preparation activities starting from RFP issuance to bid submission.

2. Analyse RFP, circulate internally, prepare summary of key commercial and pre-qualification/eligibility points

3. Conduct internal gate reviews (WNG, TRM) on time to ensure stakeholders within Alstom are aligned. Coordinate with the concerned teams (Bid//Technical, Legal, Finance, Tax, Treasury etc.) to highlight critical issues and internal preparation status.

4. Participate in pre-bid discussions with the customer and raise key issues

5. Together with Bid Manager prepare the tender submission documentation (esp. qualification related documentaiton) and ensure compliance to tender conditions.

6. Respond to post-bid queries and discussions.

7. Prepare bid opening summary, analyse bid-opening results, conduct Win-Loss Analysis.

8. In case of award, conduct Tender Transfer Meeting to mobilise team for project. Review contractual documentation together with relevant team-members. Coordinate with Customer Director and respective team-members to ensure timely contract signing and PBG/ABG submission.

9. Communicate any relevant market updates, competition news and government/policy decisions.

10. Regularly update Salesforce/WallC to reflect current tender status.
