Job Purpose

This role will be accountable for cluster level Radio and MW planning activities, new plan releases, site selections, site relocation and truncations feasibility analysis, VIU update, circle capex and site counts finalization with business teams, Small Cell and IBS planning, site RF clearance. SD and LB release through CODE team, Enterprise Feasibility from MW side and portal update, MW network optimizations, new nominal site MW clearance.

  • Detailed Network RF design, plan validation and finalization
  • Inventory movement plan
  • Network Project support
  • Radio Network design to meet capacity
  • Preparation of detailed BOQ
  • Regulatory support for network related query 
  • Cluster level MW planning, MW plan releases.
  • Coordination with CODE team for new LB releases.
  • Tracking of new Fiber POP traffic loading with MW plans and re-engineering.
  • New Fiber PoP proposals to Fiber planning team, MW inputs for new Fiber POP capex proposals
  • Enterprise BW feasibility checking in MW side and updating in portal
  • New site nominals MW Transmission clearance.
  • MIS reports, checking KPIs and MW performance, MW utilisations monitoring, preparation of MW usage optimisations and action plans

 

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience
  • Knowledge in Radio planning and optimization in 2g/3g/LTE
  • Capex and Radio inventory management based on DB
  • Knowledge of Small Cells planning and feature deployments across technologies
  • Sound knowledge of RF planning and design tools (ASSET, MapInfo, GIS tool, Google earth)
  • Closely work with Central Radio planning teams on design based requirements
  • Excellent communication skills to work seamlessly across vendors, central and circle cross functional teamsExperience in MW radios Operations, Planning or Implementations (NEC/ Huawei/ Ceragon)
  • Experience in MW planning tool(Pathloss) preferred
  • Knowledge of Mapinfo, Global mapper tools
  • Knowledge of MW NMS operations for Huawei, NEC , Ceragon
  • Coordination skills with SNOC, CODE, Operation and project teams, analytical skills
  • Customer centric, Innovative , Ambitious and competitive, Calculated risk taking & task oriented

Must have technical / professional qualifications
  •  B.Tech in Electronics and  Telecommunications with 7+ years of experience
