Job Purpose

  • Responsible for Pan India fiber network audit function to ensure VILs asset is maintained as per the laid down process.
  • Ensure quality of route planning, deployment and operations by stringent audit process and control.
  • Develop end to end audit processes and implement the same.
  • Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
  • Verifies assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation. Completes audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings. Recommend possible risk aversion measures and cost savings that could be made.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

  • Develop a PAN India audit calendar and ensure it is followed.
  • Establish stringent audit checklist like ROW availability, depth & size of the trench, laying of Overhead cables, ABD, chamber quality, fiber utilization and OTDR testing.
  • Identify Aerial and underground route km as per as-build drawing.
  • Audit report submission & action taken report.
  • Ensure corrective actions are taken by respective stakeholders to comply to standards, polices & process.
  • Work closely with FRS group to establish the CMM process

  • Understanding of Network requirements for Mobility and Enterprise
  • Understanding of Fiber, Radio and Transport Network
  • Transformation and Digitization with expertise in GIS.
  • Domain expertize in Fiber Optical networking, DWDM/SDH/MPLS technologies.
  • Fiber project & operational standards/process.
  • Documentation Management – HOTO, ROW/Permission

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications

  • 15-20 years of Telecom experience and Proficiency in understanding overall transport NW architecture.
  • Must have a clear vision on organizational requirements, able to see the big picture, decision making ability and superior communication skill.  Be open to the criticism, ask questions.
