Job Purpose

You will be a SON expert providing L1 Support to circles for maintaining the health/hygiene of SON system and help to archive network KPI improvement through SON optimization management.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities
  • Prepare MOP for module operations and provide L1 support to circles on day to day operations. Raise trouble tickets to vendor and follow-up.
  • Ensure Regular Health checks of all SON system (license capacity/processer and memory utilization)
  • Perform SON action analysis and raise SON alerts to circles to take corrective actions.
  • Monitor performance KPI and share recommendations to circles for module config fine tuning
  • Ensure SON visibility for all eligible cells in network and hygiene of Cell engineering file inputs.
  • Support for module instance creation to balance the overall system utilization.
  • Send recommendations on over shooter optimization, interference management, cross feeder, sleeping cells, neighbor optimization, parameter discrepancies etc.

Generate SON reports – Daily module status, weekly action report, monthly SON tracker, SON footprint report etc. Generate SON Alerts to circles and tracking the tickets for closure.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience
  • Minimum 7 years of working experience in Telecom Industry with 5+ years of experience in Radio network quality optimization and performance management.
  • Should have minimum 1 year experience in SON platform and application management. Excellent trouble shooting and log analysis skills preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of 2G/3G/LTE/Volte technologies
  • Sound understanding of Radio parameters/features and Radio performance KPIs
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze the network performance data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Must have technical / professional qualifications

An Engineering graduate in Electronics and Communications

1+ years’ experience in SON (Module functionality/Log analysis/Tuning)

5+ years’ experience in RF KPI Optimization

Sound knowledge on RAN parameters
